Woodbridge By Robert Mondavi Partners With America's Second Harvest?The Nation's Food Bank Network On Campaign To Fight Hunger

 Promotions and charity auction to take place; Substantial donation from Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi to be made

Lodi, Calif.--- November 5, 2007 --- Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi has joined America’s Second Harvest—The Nation’s Food Bank Network— in the fight against hunger by creating a cause-related promotion called Give Hope that will benefit the organization and its more than 200 member food banks.

Give Hope’s goal is to combat hunger in America by raising money and awareness through a series of initiatives that kick off this month and continue through the end of the year.  A few of these initiatives include a $50,000 donation from Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi, on- and off-premise promotions, and the opportunity for consumers to find out how to make donations directly to America’s Second Harvest at Woodbridgewines.com*.

In addition, Woodbridge has organized a charity auction of star-studded and other experiential prize packages.  The auction will take place on eBay from November 29-December 9, 2007, at www.ebay.com/woodbridge.  One-hundred percent of the proceeds generated through the auction will benefit America’s Second Harvest and its member food banks.   A few of the exciting items on which consumers can bid include:

  • Eat, Pray, Love: The opportunity for one lucky winner and a guest to dine in New York City with literary sensation Elizabeth Gilbert, author of the #1 New York Times bestselling memoir, Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman’s Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia.
  •  Dine with a Hero: The opportunity for one lucky fan and a guest to share dinner in Los Angeles with NBC Heroes’ cast member Jimmy Jean-Louis.      
  •  Visit America’s Test Kitchen:  A trip for two to visit America’s Test Kitchen—including a full tour of the test kitchen facilities just outside of Boston, an opportunity to meet cast members from the show and participation in a recipe or ingredient tasting.
